June 2011 - Avon Valley is awarded a Bronze SC21
Accreditation
Avon Valley was awarded Bronze Accreditation under the SC21 Accreditation Programme, at a recent award ceremony at the Royal Naval Dockyard in Portsmouth. Avon Valley's Chairman Chris Steel said "SC21 will form a key part of our strategy to support and add value to our Prime and Tier 1 customers in the Aerospace and Defence sector. We are absolutely committed to the continuous improvement programme and have targeted to advance to Silver Accreditation within 2 years"
SC21 is a change programme designed to accelerate the competitiveness of the aerospace & defence industry by raising the performance of its supply chains. International competition, together with the challenges posed by the defence industrial strategy, necessitates rapid improvement in the effectiveness of our supply chains. At the same time, industry must ensure that it delivers competitive solutions for customers whilst maintaining profitable business growth.
May 2011 - Avon Valley invests in new CNC Milling and Turning Capacity
Avon Valley has recently acquired new CNC Milling and Turning capacity. This investment in increased capacity reflects the Company's commitment to meeting and exceeding the delivery expectations of its customers.

December 2010 - Acquisition
AVPE was recently acquired by a small group of investors, as part of a buy and build strategy. AVPE now forms a key part in a small Group of related SME manufacturing businesses focused in the Aerospace and Defence markets. Chris Steel, AVPE Chairman comments "AVPE has an excellent reputation within the Aerospace and Defence sector for a competitively priced quality product and service. The new shareholders will invest in developing a flexible skilled work force along with quality machining assets to meet and exceed our customers' requirements".
