As an SME supplier to the Prime and Tier 1 Defence and Aerospace market, AVPE is committed to a programme of continuous improvement through investment in its people, machining assets and quality processes.

The key elements to this strategy are:

• Maintaining and upgrading machining assets through investment, to ensure that capacity, quality, and delivery capability will consistently exceed our Partners requirements.
• Investing in the recruitment and training of a flexible and skilled work force enabling AVPE to be recognized as an upper quartile SME employer in the Bristol/Avon l catchment area.
• Developing open customer/supplier relationships with a limited number of key Partners to drive down unit costs for components. This will also include seeking opportunities with Partners to reduce the cost of the procurement process.
• A rapid response capability as a dedicated "spares only" sub-contractor for key Partners to minimize "Aircraft on the Ground" time.
• Investment in developing enhanced production and quality processes to enable AVPE to achieve Silver SC21 Accreditation by 2014.
