Avon Valley offers a wide range of services including milling, turning, grinding, jig boring, tool making, fitting, fabricating and all other services you associate with a dynamically run engineering services company.
CNC Facilities
With the addition of a XYZ 250 TC to our capacity which includes an ECOCA SJ20 CNC Lathe purchased in 2000 which increases our capacity to 8 CNC Lathes with collet capacity up to 80mm and 300 mm Chucking.
3 x Fadel Matchmaker machining centres give us CNC Milling capacity with a table capacity of 1000 x500
Cad/Cam
Pathtrace Edgecam post processing facilities was added to our facilities in Jan 1999 to enhance our CNC milling and turning capability. This introduced a more sophisticated CAD CAM package, along with the capability of using customers CAD models to produce surfaces and profiles more accurately to meet requirements.
Supplier Base
Our service is backed up by approved suppliers and second-tier subcontractors chosen for their excellence and reliability. These services include the supply of raw materials, non-destructive testing, heat treatments and protective treatments.
Design Work
Avon Valley Precision Engineering has access to design facilities an all round technical back up service on all our manufactured tooling i.e. jigs and fixtures, special gauges, test equipment, prototype work and all work holding equipment.
- Starting with the initial design work drawn by conventional and computer-aided design methods, whichever is requested by the customer.
- A quick scheme is drawn up for the customer to approve before producing a master drawing for the final approval for the customer to sign and date before manufacture commences.
- Turn around on approval scheme drawings are usually within seven days and master drawings depending on complexity of design we look to achieve a turnaround of within three weeks.
- Prices for all design work and manufacture are always quoted separately to give the customer a complete breakdown of the overall price.
Estimation to Production
Our "Tricorn" computer-based production control system, enables us to prepare quotations, quickly and competitively and is fully comprehensive, therefore enabling us to produce excellent process route cards to provide a reliable delivery performance, and of course aerospace quality is standard.
